TEAM Industries wanted to handle short-run jobs so effectively that customers choose TEAM for long-term work and shrink lead times for all orders. The challenge was to boost efficiency through "Lights-out" machining and paperless communication. The company installed NX and NX Machining software. They also imported customers' CAD data into NX to design tooling; created CNC programs directly from tooling geometry and customized NX software to support paperless flow process and permit programming of 100 percent of machining operations.
