Plasticos Castella is one of the leading plastic injection molders in Spain. Plasticos Castella wanted to meet customers' requirements for faster product delivery and shrink mold design cycle. The challenge was to improve accuracy of molds to prevent redesign and repair. The company upgraded to knowledge-based mold design, took advantage of built-in intelligence to automate time-consuming tasks and use associativity to quickly update mold designs in response to product changes. As a result mold design cycle reduced significantly, by weeks for complicated molds and product changes accommodated in hours instead of days.
