The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC/ALC) manages an inventory of more than 2,000 aircraft, including the newest weapon system, the B-2, along with the B-1, B-52 and the KC-135, as well as nearly 23,000 jet engines ranging from state-of-the art F118s to the Korean Conflict-vintage J33s. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center wanted to provide faster response to requests for data and adjust to smaller budget and staff by streamlining processes. The challenge was to stay competitive; adapt to new technology. The company adopted data management approach requiring little human intervention, Consolidated 18 legacy databases (10 million items) in one repository and stored all engineering data; manage all data-related processes with Teamcenter software.
