The Oakville, Ontario - based Davis Controls distributes process control and factory automation devices. In 1996, the company realized it could not survive using its disparate computing technologies. Over the next 10 years, Davis Controls worked with Exact Software, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to deploy a system running on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Today, the company's 50 employees rely on the Web-enabled system to automate tasks such as resource, project, and customer management. Multiple portals provide an avenue of self-service for customers and suppliers. As a result, Davis Controls has increased revenue by 200 percent, more than doubled productivity, and accelerated data access by more than 100 percent.
