Wanting to improve customer service and productivity in its Pharmaceutical Services division, Solutia resolved to modernize its patient data gathering process while preserving traditional workflow at the clinical trial site. Solutia worked with Quilogy, a Microsoft Certified Partner, to develop a solution that uses Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 to collect clinical data on Tablet PCs. The data is entered into an InfoPath form, validated, and then uploaded into the trial database, eliminating inefficient data entry time and increasing data accuracy. The solution will result in shorter and more efficient clinical trials, benefiting both Solutia and its customers. Solutia expects to be able to complete more trials with existing personnel, and customers can release drugs earlier while meeting stringent regulatory standards.
