ZAO Medit Profispecializes in creating digital solutions for media business, educational bodies and fund archives. The new IT system from IBM and Medit Profienables to create a new, open forum for people to express their opinions, exchange ideas and share experiences on TV. The situation became more complex when several people needed the same footage or when filming was done remotely. Channel 5 needed to create a modern, competitive and collaborative newsroom. The ZAO Medit Profisolution "Package" for Channel 5 included a business-to-business Web portal using VIDI MMP and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, which enables newsroom staff to have easy access to archived video footage. It also provides access to other important production and transmission systems, including ZAO Medit ProfiVIDI News and VIDI Transmit Software.
