Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC) is one of Canada's most-shopped retailers with more than 1,100 stores and gas bars. Complexity in integrating applications and sharing information within and across CTC businesses slowed the launch of new services and impeded innovation. The company wanted to leverage information as a service can enable staff to respond quickly to market opportunities and gain new insight from existing data. The company implemented a service oriented architecture that unlocks information from individual applications and repositories to make it readily available to processes, people and applications when needed.
