Pulmuone was originally a collection of markets selling produce fresh from the farm. Demand from Korean consumers for food free from preservatives, artificial colorings, and chemical additives saw the markets expand into a US$356 billion global corporation over the next 26 years. Pulmuone has used Oracle Financials in its finance and accounting division since 1997. Impressed by the performance of the solution, the company decided to implement other Oracle E-Business Suite applications to build an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Oracle solution enabled Pulmuone to refine supply chain processes, streamline warehouse and logistics management, and strengthen human resources management. The company achieved greater efficiencies and lowered costs as a result.
