Chile's Ministerio de Hacienda Direccion de Presupuestos Sistema de Informacion para la Gestion Financiera del Estado (SIGFE) is headed by the State Budget Directory (DIPRES). The agency wanted to implement a robust and reliable business intelligence solution, capable of consolidating budgetary information from Chilean government agencies. The challenge was to make budgetary information highly available to various levels of the Chilean government and streamline consolidation and integration of accounting and financial information from multiple transactional sources. The agency worked with Oracle Partner Infochile and Oracle Consulting to integrate governmental information using Oracle Warehouse Builder. It also used Oracle BPEL Process Manager for coordination and operational control of financial processes, allowing rapid validation and use of information provided by various transactional systems.
