Founded in 1981, Atrium Medical Corporation is a diversified healthcare technology company known for developing quality medical devices for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. The company wanted to replace legacy system with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that can support continued growth as well as multi-entity and multi-currency environments and automate manual processes to improve efficiency. The challenge was to enhance planning capabilities and increase visibility into inventory versus demand. The company implemented Oracle E-Business Suite applications for financial, supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, and human resources management to create an integrated and highly scalable IT environment that automates core functions and enhances visibility of critical business information. The company also reduced excess inventory and accelerated inventory turns with increased visibility into stock and demand.
