Barclays is a UK-based financial services group and an international banking organisation, with branches throughout Asia-Pacific, Europe and South America, engaged primarily in banking, investment banking and investment management. The challenge was to create a secure environment within the branch network and to secure against the unauthorised use of USB devices. Barclays needed to guarantee that potential security breaches, through devices such as floppy drive access, USBs and serial ports, were completely eliminated. As a solution Barclays chose SecureWave's Sanctuary Device Control which enabled complete lock down of USB ports and prevented all unauthorised connection of USB devices to the network.
