The Haas School of Business at the University of California's Berkeley campus was founded more than 100 years ago, making it the oldest US business school at a public university. The Haas School of Business wanted to find a cost-effective, feature-rich data storage solution to manage increasing storage requirements (additional servers & RAID arrays) on campus setting. The school created a tiered storage scenario based on a fully redundant IP SAN using SANRAD's V-Switch 3000 iSCSI switches, in conjunction with the school's existing FC SAN. Then, there was addition of Nexsan's 21 TB SATABeast SATA RAID array to help consolidate data at a low cost per TB.
