To offer new customers a different way to enjoy its premium content offerings and to provide existing subscribers a richer preview of its varied programming, Showtime Networks built an interactive TV service for premium editions of the Windows Vista operating system that include Windows Media Center. Showtime and its design partner, Method, built Showtime Interactive using the Windows Media Center Presentation Layer and Media Center Markup Language. With Showtime Interactive, customers can download video content through a broadband Internet connection and enjoy a high-quality viewing experience - all with their remote control.
