Convergence Communications needed to find the right development environment for its collaboration and communications solution called E?SPONDER. It had to be easy to use, customizable, and reliable to provide an effective tool for first responders in public events, and government and law enforcement agencies - the company's initial market. Convergence built E?SPONDER as an Office Business Application that uses products from the 2007 Microsoft Office system. E?SPONDER enables people to easily plan events, and to collect, access, and share event information through a portal that's scalable across agencies operating in the field and in command centers. With E?SPONDER, personnel can maintain security and public safety using familiar desktop tools: a key reason why Convergence Communications is now expanding into the commercial and global market.
