Edipower is a leading Italian energy provider, with the capacity to generate around 8,700 megawatts of power. After merging with Eurogen, Edipower decided to migrate from its disparate IT system to an integrated infrastructure that would meet its new business needs. Edipower created a centralised data network, allowing the company to transmit vital data quickly and cost-effectively. Working with Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Microsys, Edipower implemented a solution based on the Microsoft .NET Framework. Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 were used to integrate data from the company's systems into a single database. Employees at Edipower now have better access to information, making it easier to predict usage and availability.
