Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, a leading global shipbuilder, lacked effective protection against intellectual property theft by rival companies. Information exchanged through Web-based applications was particularly vulnerable. To strengthen data security, the company implemented a solution based on Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 and Citrix MetaFrame. ISA Server 2004 is part of the Microsoft Forefront line of business security products. In addition, the company deployed Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 to centrally monitor its servers. Now Hyundai Mipo Dockyard can collaborate more securely with application-level data protection. The company has established enterprisewide security policies, and the IT environment is more controlled and easier to manage. With the new solution, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is on its way to developing an optimized IT environment.
