Founded in 1908, Banco Rio is one of the most capitalized private banks in the Argentinean financial system. The company wanted to consolidate trend information about customers, products and accounting in one single database and manage customer-relationship information outside of mainframes, to access customer information in real time. The challenge was to speed portfolio management, which was slowed because of decentralized information and create a base to develop appropriate tools for the business and enable the integration with different systems vendors. The company simplified reporting processes and database queries according to marketing campaign needs and implemented Oracle Database to integrate legacy systems and allow the future development of tools.
