Guangdong Telecom Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Telecom Corp., Ltd., provides domestic and international fixed telecommunications services and voice, data, and multimedia communications and information services. The company wanted to build a comprehensive information application service platform to provide internet-based enterprise services and integrate resources provided by application providers, customer service providers, equipment providers, and other suppliers. The challenges were to manage multiple business workflows in an orderly manner and provide ability to deploy new business systems swiftly within a uniform framework. The challenge was to facilitate high system availability. The company developed an SOA-based information service platform for SMEs using Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware.
