McDATA is the leading provider of storage networking solutions, helping customers build, globally connect, optimize and centrally manage data infrastructures across complex networking environments. The company wanted to resolve scalability and flexibility issues of existing SAP solution, which was scheduled for de-support and reduce custom coding to provide easy upgrade path and control costs. The challenge was to support complex supply chain operations by reducing order cycles and streamlining inventory and logistics operations and provide managers with real-time order tracking and business intelligence. The company replaced existing SAP solution with a range of Oracle E-Business Suite applications for managing the company's supply chain, finances, human resources, sales and service.
