The purpose of this paper is to describe and discuss the different scenarios in which projects can be shared between WebSphere Studio Application Developer 4.0.3 (WSAD) and WebSphere Portal Content Publishing 4.2 (WPCP). There are 2 basic scenarios that this paper covers: initial project creation and ongoing project development where individual resources and groups of resources are changing. WPCP 4.2 provides two ways in which projects and resources can be shared, via filesystem or via a version control repository such as CVS or Clearcase. This paper describes the details in sharing projects and resources using both methods. The version control examples use CVS, but the same procedures apply for Clearcase.
