This paper presents architectures of mobile wireless ad hoc networks on platforms and a design solution. Three architectures are discussed including a moving wireless network in a fleet of on land-based vehicles, a squadron of aircrafts and moving trains. In each scenario, an anchor node performs the role of a router through which the terminals in its platform domain communicate. Each platform is modeled as a wireless LAN. A gateway at the organization's head office is used for communication with Internet and the telephone system. The physical range of each LAN on a vehicle is limited to less than 3 km. The example network is scalable but considers only 10 buses within the area of coverage. Co-channel Interference mitigation using spreading codes is demonstrated.
