Recent performance in two-photon volumetric data storage is presented. Experimental results are presented and theoretical potentials are analyzed. Call Recall has developed patented proprietary materials allowing recorded bits to be read out by fluorescence. The volume optical storage approach used by Call/Recall relies on recording bits in a volume by using two-photon recording. Recording occurs only within a small volume around the focus of the laser beam due to two-photon response and follows the 3-D point spread function irradiance distribution of the focused beam.
