Rapid advancements in wireless technologies have demanded that graduating telecommunication engineers to not only be familiar with the concepts and theories behind the technologies but also be trained in them. One approach that could be used to train as well as enhance student comprehension of wireless concepts and theories is the use of commercially available software in the class room. Some software simulation companies support programs designed to make their expensive software available to universities for a minimal fee. The only restriction companies include in the agreement is the sole use of the software for educational purposes.
