Verwaltungsgesellschaft Fur Informationsysteme GmbH (VFI) is an IT consulting firm specializing in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Management Information Systems (MIS), and online portal solutions. The organization also provides IT support to its growing customer base. The challenge was to standardize processes through the introduction of a uniform application layer and consistent data and create an IT environment that provides high availability and performance. VFI deployed Oracle Database Standard Edition and Oracle Real Applications Clusters to support development of a uniform administrative and processing system ("Project Phoenix") designed to accelerate product development and launch processes.
