The University of Cape Town (UCT) is South Africa's oldest university, and one of Africa's leading teaching and research institutions. The company wanted to streamline student administration with an IT system designed specifically for that function. The challenge was to improve ability to recruit and retain students through streamlined admissions, registration, and financial processes and implement a solution that combines reduced maintenance effort and provision of a platform for continued functional enhancements. The company implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions to streamline, automate, and manage critical student-related processes, including recruitment, applications, admissions, registration, financial aid, and student accounts.
