SAP NetWeaver BI running on IBM DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows (DB2 9) supports the usage of the Database Partitioning Feature (DPF) with one or more DB2 partitions residing on one or multiple servers. This feature allows unmatched scalability and optimal performance for this business intelligence solution. This paper describes the usage of DB2 Performance Expert as a central monitoring utility in a large Proof of Concept to validate Manageability and Scalability of a 20 Terabyte SAP BI installations running on DB2 using the database partitioning feature with 33 partitions.
