To deliver the most up-to-date information to employees who travel, Intel IT implemented a global program that uses wireless smart phones to push E-mail. This always-on technology makes it faster and easier for mobile employees to stay connected to team members and provide a new level of support to their customers. It was found that smart phones based on Intel XScale technology effectively combine data and quality voice capabilities. This cost-effective solution employs off-the-shelf products and standard service providers. Remote management techniques minimize overhead and the solution includes encryption, virus protection, and passwords to help provide security.
