Founded in 1998, Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC) is an international manufacturing group based in Saudi Arabia. The company wanted to introduce a modern, Web-based IT infrastructure to address application availability demands and support future growth. The challenge was to meet the organization's strict security requirements, ensuring the availability, confidentiality, and security of data access via the internet and ensure consistency of enterprise data by integrating its legacy applications with its Oracle E-Business Suite applications. ZIIC improved application availability, scalability, and performance by migrating legacy client/server applications to a Web-based architecture based on Oracle Application Server 10g.
