Established in 1974 to develop technologies to battle the negative effects of the sun, Polysack Plastic Industries Ltd. produces and develops ultra-violet-resistant nets and thermal screens for agriculture. The challenges were to create an IT infrastructure that can support international markets; ensure integration between the company's financial and logistics systems - historically, interfacing these two systems was time-consuming and costly to manage; and improve business process reporting in line with statutory requirements following listing on the stock exchange. The company selected Oracle E-Business Suite applications - including Oracle Financials and Oracle Discrete Manufacturing - to create a highly reliable and scalable IT infrastructure that can help the company improve efficiency, streamline compliance, and support its international operations.
