Falcon Farms is one of the world's largest independently owned and fully integrated growers and distributors of "Fresh Cut Flowers." To enter the retail, direct-to-consumer market, Falcon Farms hired technology consulting firm Lab49 Inc. to develop a comprehensive online e-commerce solution for both retail and wholesale use. As a solution Lab49 developed a scalable software system that enables customer e-commerce, online product catalog management, order and inventory management, and OnLine Analytical Processing (OLAP)-based sales reporting. This benefited the company with business agility, scalability, low total cost of ownership, ease of integration and high productivity/low costs.
