ProSight develops portfolio management software. The previous version of the ProSight Portfolios was developed on a Microsoft Windows DNA architecture using Microsoft Visual J++ 6.0. ProSight needed to develop a new version on a mainstream platform. After considering a pure Java solution, ProSight translated its J++ code to C#, and used that as the basis on which to build a new, enhanced product version supporting Web services. As benefits the company's time to market reduced, developer effort reduced performance improved, security improved and integration improved.
