With more than 200,000 customers, SWU Stadtwerke is a leading energy supplier for Baden-Wurttemberg, one of the southernmost provinces of Germany. SWU wanted to deploy scalable, modern, Web services-based IT infrastructure. The challenge was to implement parameter oriented queries with graphical overview to allow SWU to make verifiable business decisions. The company worked with Fichtner Consulting & IT AG to implement Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Application Server - creating a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based on Web services.
