VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the largest multidisciplinary research organization in Northern Europe, providing versatile technology and research services to domestic and international clients. The company wanted to enable themselves to engage in extensive, interdisciplinary collaboration with customers and partners in accordance with the growth requirements. The challenge was to reduce costs and simplify operations by maintaining one system versus several disparate systems and eliminate fragmented data processing and the need to tailor separate solutions. They worked with TietoEnator Oyj and Oracle Consulting to implement Oracle E-Business Suite and integrated various operations into one centralized system and created a single data model and database to improve data integrity and timeliness.
