Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare services to more than 200,000 people in southwest England. The company wanted to implement best-practice, integrated, automated, managed financial and purchasing management applications from a supplier approved by the NHS National Service Framework. The challenge was to select a solution already used by other NHS organizations to facilitate easier collaboration and split the cost of developing future healthcare-specific software modifications and achieve rapid implementation and go-live. The company evaluated several suppliers and selected Oracle financial and purchasing solutions for their in-depth functionality, preconfigured NHS-specific options, and user-friendly front-end.
