Openfind Information Technology, established in 1998 as one of the first commercial Chinese-language internet search services, offers internet-based products and services to ISPs in Taiwan. Mail2000 is an email system that Openfind developed as part of a value-added service to its online subscribers. Mail2000 runs on FreeBSD and processes hundreds of thousands of emails every day. With this heavy load, Openfind's management became worried about the increasing number of virus attacks and the high potential for infection of its system. The company installed SAV Interface which enables Openfind to integrate the Sophos virus detection engine into its FreeBSD PC servers seamlessly and efficiently.
