This paper provides introductory information on how to use the .NET Development Server for writing, compiling, testing and debugging .NET console, .NET Windows, and ASP.NET web applications. Designed for instructional programming use, a .NET Development Server is an integrated version of Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Visual Studio .NET, terminal services, Telnet services, and associated academic software tools. Using a small remote desktop terminal service client, developers on networked workstations can write, compile and debug .NET applications through shared access of Visual Studio on the .NET Development Server.
