Nowadays services for the end user should adapt themselves in new situations. For the instantiation of a service a spontaneous network of the involved components must be built. Therefore all components should offer a location independent and open interface to be integrated into this network. The goal of this project is to evaluate two new architectures for web based applications, SunONE and Microsoft .NET. Both support the development of Web services. The evaluations are based on the requirements for NetLink, a concept for the management of services in broadcast transmission networks.
