Boulder Valley School District (BVSD), located in Boulder, Colorado, consists of 54 schools serving nine Colorado communities, including Boulder and areas of South Boulder County. New and emerging internet threats, such as spyware and malicious mobile code, pose new challenges for educational institutions. BVSD had not originally seen managing security threats as a primary reason for selecting Websense, but has found this to be a growing factor in its environment. BVSD implemented Websense Enterprise, along with Websense Enterprise Premium Groups, to improve productivity and enhance security for its 28,000 students and 4,000 staff members.
