There is often some difficulty integrating the DirectX APIs with the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC). The DirectX SDK provides several samples using DirectX with MFC, but none of them use the desired document/view architecture or the application wizards. This paper shows the reader, step by step, how to set up a simple Direct3D 9.0 application in the MFC framework using the wizards and the document/view architecture in Visual Studio .Net.
