BMC Performance Manager 2.1 combines, in a single integrated architecture, the robustness of agent-based management with the ease of use and simplicity of agentless management. BMC Performance Manager 2.1 collects and integrates performance data from all the monitored resources - both resources monitored with BMC Performance Manager agents (formerly PATROL agents) and those monitored remotely - in a single, centralized system. With BMC Performance Manager 2.1 one can now manage threshold settings and view threshold alerts from a single portal as well as produce common reports on agent- and agentless-monitored resources because all the performance data is now in one place.
