More than 55 years ago, American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW) was founded to provide housing and health care for retired ministers and missionaries. In early 2005, Corporate Director of Technology, began investigating options for a wireless LAN that would serve nurses' immediate needs yet also support other applications and users in the future. ABHOW uses Nortel WLAN solutions to help deliver on its mission to "Enhance the independence, well-being and security of older people".
