Finnish company Tekla has developed model-based software products since 1966. However, as an established organisation, Tekla cannot change its programming code completely. It needs to keep the old code alive while conducting new development work. For this, it introduced high-level programming language C++. But employees still needed a solution to help boost productivity. Tekla deployed Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite to improve overall productivity. The decision was helped by the fact that it plans to become an early user of the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.0. Now, Tekla has its 100 application developers using Visual Studio every time they begin a new project.
