India's Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL), a leading provider of international telecommunications services, needed a solution to manage the approximately 500 PCs deployed at its True Value Hub (TVH) cybercafes & RailTel icafes located across the country. With 8 to 10 PCs at each site and most of them located far away from the central network monitoring centers of the company, it posed a significant challenge to VSNL's PC management operations. VSNL jointly with Intel initiated a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) to validate the effectiveness and relevance of PCs with Intel vPro Technology and the capability of Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT) specifically for its Out of Home business.
