LANDesk, an Avocent company, delivers cost-effective and intelligent systems, security, and process management solutions to simplify IT management of workflows, desktops, servers, and mobile devices. The company wanted to easily manage processes, systems, and system security with minimal infrastructure investment, improve regulatory compliance, and remotely manage and secure PCs. LANDesk solutions takes advantage of new hardware-based capabilities in notebooks with Intel Centrino Pro processor technology and desktop PCs with Intel vPro processor technology to take system management to a new level. The new capabilities allow LANDesk solutions to significantly improve many remote processes even if PC power is off, an Operating System (OS) is down, or management agents aren't installed.
