Inova Health System is a not-for-profit health care system based in Northern Virginia that includes hospitals and other health services, including home care, nursing homes, mental health services, wellness classes, and freestanding emergency and urgent care centers. Inova needed technology that would offer live monitoring of Web activity, as well as site blocking. The company was also looking for a solution that would integrate with a proxy server on Red Hat Linux 7.x. Most other solutions would have required Inova to abandon its Red Hat-based proxy in favor of another platform. SmartFilter fit seamlessly into their existing environment and allowed them to take advantage of the work they had already done on Red Hat.
