As a leading provider of learning and research with over 20,000 students in a wide range of study, Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) is one of Wellington's largest employers, making a significant contribution to its economy, cultural and sporting life. Servicing many departmental databases, VUW found they had outgrown their Microsoft Access database platform, and looked at various options to upgrade their system and offer a stable environment for their 3,000 users. The University will go live on its new system as part of the Technology Acceptance Programme to migrate VUW from its existing Access platform to SQL Server 2005.
