The HP StorageWorks Customer Focused Testing Team put together a medium-sized enterprise system using the mySAP ERP 2004 application with an Oracle database on four rx4640 servers and an EVA8000 storage array. SAP provided custom programs based on the ABAP programming language that simulated CRM mobile load on the backend server. The goal was to vary hardware and storage configurations and to explore tuning of the solutions from SAP and Oracle to characterize and optimize performance for this SAP-developed workload.
