Microsoft does not provide an in-place upgrade path for transitioning from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2007; therefore, Exchange administrators must move their existing Exchange Server 2003 data from its current storage location to a new storage location. In an environment where the Exchange server uses dedicated, direct attached storage, this is not a concern because the data needs to be transferred from the old Exchange Server 2003 server to the new Exchange Server 2007 server anyway.. This white paper addresses how best to accomplish the transition from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2007, while maintaining the HP All-in-One Storage System as the Exchange data repository.
