As one of South Africa's largest privately owned medical organisations, Netcare runs an emergency response service that treats 18,000 patients every month. This service, known as Netcare 911, was keen to improve their system by automating data capture and enhancing data integrity. Netcare 911 decided to consolidate all communications onto a single device in each vehicle to create a mobile point of care. Netcare 911 launched a pioneering mobile healthcare solution by introducing Panasonic Toughbook CF18 laptops powered by Intel Centrino Duo processors to 20 emergency response vehicles.
