This paper addresses link adaptation for multi-coded OFDM transmission with space-time processing. The previously proposed algorithm of Code and Modulation (CM) selection and power loading, on a basis of temporary channel information, is evaluated here in its simplified form (reduced number of CM schemes). An extension of such approach with Space-Time Block Coding (STBC) at the transmitter and multiple antenna reception is considered. Moreover, the influence of encoded block length on the adaptation performance is presented and a practical solution that diminishes the harmful effect of short block lengths is proposed.
